The Best Gay Hotels in Da Nang, Vietnam (An Honest 2026 Guide)
Let me keep it REAL with you before we even get into the list: Da Nang doesn't really have GAY SCENE, let alone… "gay hotels" the way somewhere like, Puerto Vallarta does.
There's no all-gay resort like Tryst — but what there is that’s similar is a beach town vibe. Its a VERY low key vibe here. So, if you’re wanting to escape the heat of Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, come escape it — but just know that it’s also hot AF here, too. But at least there are pools, rooftop pools, and the BEACH, Bitch.
I've been based here in Da Nang, so this isn't a list I pulled outta my a*s, I actually did some research and read reviews so I know exactly where the gays are welcomed and where we are staying when we come here. So are you ready? Start your engines, and may the best gay win…
Real talk: is Da Nang gay-friendly?
Yes — in that easygoing, "nobody's checking for you" Vietnamese way. Vietnam doesn't have gay marriage yet and LGBTQ+ rights are still evolving, but Da Nang specifically is laid-back, tourist-friendly, and tolerant. Same-sex couples booking one bed is a non-issue at the spots below. The queer community here is small but it exists — Da Nang even has Viet Pride, and Memory Lounge on Bach Dang Street gets called the city's first openly queer-ish bar (more of a riverfront café-bar with a view than a club, but it's a vibe) and there’s always Q Bar. Its a very openly-gay spot that’s in town and the owners are super friendly. Make sure you check out my Asia Gay Beach guide for more on the scene in Asia, for us!
I go deeper on the scene, safety, and where to actually go out in my full Gay Da Nang Guide — this post is just about where to lay your head.
Want the safety side covered before you book? I break down LGBTQ+ safety for Black and queer travelers in Vietnam in a separate post, and I never travel here without travel medical insurance — I use SafetyWing because it's built for nomads and long stays. Where to stay in Da Nang as a queer traveler
Da Nang is basically a long beach with a river behind it. Pick your neighborhood first, then your hotel:
An Thuong / My An — The walkable expat pocket. Cafés, cheap eats, massage spots, bars, beach all on foot. Most "queer-comfortable" and the easiest area if you're solo or want to actually walk somewhere at night. Budget to mid-range.
My Khe Beach (the Vo Nguyen Giap strip) — Beachfront hotels with the ocean literally across the street. Great for sunrise people, couples, and pool-deck content. Mid-range to upper.
City Center / Han River (Bach Dang) — Closest to nightlife, Han Market, the dragon bridge, and Memory Lounge. Less beach, more city energy.
Son Tra Peninsula — Secluded luxury. Stunning, romantic, and far from everything. Honeymoon territory.
The best gay-friendly hotels in Da Nang
Prices shift constantly by season — I've given rough nightly tiers, but tap through to check live rates and dates.
1. InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort — the splurge 🏆
Best for: honeymoons, anniversaries, "we worked hard this year" energy
Where: Son Tra Peninsula
Price: $$$$ (think $600+/night)
Rating: 4.9 ⭐ (11,000+ reviews)
This is the bucket-list stay. A Bill Bensley-designed masterpiece tumbling down a jungle hillside into the East Sea, with a funicular, private-feeling beach, and service that's almost embarrassingly good. If you're proposing, celebrating, or just want the most photogenic stay of your life, it's here. The only catch: it's gorgeous and isolated, so you're committing to resort life, not popping into town.

2. Fusion Resort & Villas Da Nang (Wellness Inclusive) — couples' romance 💆🏾♂️
Best for: couples who want privacy + spa days
Where: My An Beach
Price: $$$ – $$$$
Rating: 4.8 ⭐
Heads up — this is the spot a lot of older articles still call "Fusion Maia." Same vibe, refreshed brand. The selling point: private pool villas and a wellness-inclusive deal where daily spa treatments are baked into your rate. You and your partner in your own walled villa, plunge pool, daily massages, breakfast served basically anywhere you want it. It's romance without the resort being stuffy about it.

3. A La Carte Danang Beach — the rooftop-pool IG shot 📸
Best for: content, central beachfront, the rooftop infinity pool
Where: My Khe Beach
Price: $$ – $$$
Rating: 4.4 ⭐
You've seen the rooftop infinity pool on the gram even if you didn't know the name. Beach across the street, sky bar with city views, central location. It earns the spot — but I'm an honest-review account, so: the rooftop pool and gym can be pay-per-use depending on your rate, and a few guests have flagged room maintenance. Read your booking terms and request a higher floor. Still a solid central pick for the shot.

4. Parosand Danang Hotel — best mid-range value 💛
Best for: the sweet spot of price, beach, and service
Where: My Khe Beach
Price: $$
Rating: 4.8 ⭐ (nearly 5,000 reviews)
This is the one I'd book for most people. Right across from My Khe Beach, rooftop view, staff that go genuinely above and beyond (people keep mentioning surprise birthday cakes), and a breakfast spread folks call the best of their whole Vietnam trip. A 4.8 with that many reviews at this price is rare. No notes.

5. Minh Toan SAFI Ocean Hotel — quiet value play 🌊
Best for: beachfront comfort without the markup
Where: My Khe Beach
Price: $$
Rating: 4.7 ⭐
Sleeper pick. Beach across the street, spacious sea-view rooms, big comfy beds, and a free welcome massage on check-in (you'll book more). A mini-mart and pharmacy downstairs is more useful than it sounds when you need water and snacks at midnight. Easy, comfortable, well-priced.

6. Avatar Hotel Da Nang — best budget + walkable nightlife 🍸
Best for: solo travelers, going out, the An Thuong scene on foot
Where: An Thuong / My An
Price: $ – $$
Rating: 4.7 ⭐
If you want to actually walk to bars, cafés, food, and massage and still hit the beach in five minutes, this is your zone — and Avatar's location is the win. Staff get shouted out constantly, there's a chill ground-floor bar, and the price is right. Honest note: a few rooms are due a refresh, so the building's a little older than the rate suggests. For the location and vibe, I let it slide.

7. Novotel Danang Premier Han River — city + nightlife base 🌃
Best for: city energy, river views, being closest to Memory Lounge
Where: City Center / Bach Dang
Price: $$ – $$$
Rating: 4.6 ⭐
If you'd rather be in the city than on the sand, Novotel sits right on the Han River on Bach Dang — walking distance to Han Market, the dragon bridge, and the queer-friendly Memory Lounge. Reliable international-brand comfort, great river views, walkable nights out. One thing to watch: around big fireworks dates they've charged extra for view rooms, so confirm what you're paying for.
