Last Christmas (2025), I took an almost solo trip to Paris and had the best COLD AF time… now, I don’t really recommend this if you’re not into cold weather. But, if you want a fun, sexy, winter/Christmasy moment in Paris, by all means DO IT. My cousin and I went and we had a blast. Funny enough, we wound up linking with my other cuz that was there visiting her man. So we linked at the Lourve and had a day!

I love Paris soooo much and love roaming the streets of Paris soooo much, but man I was freezing my ass off! LMAO.

Ok, one more… Like, HOW COOL IS PARIS?

Just outside of the Eiffel Tower — Book your excursion for that here. Its a MUST! We did the tour with a guide, so we didn’t have to wait around 100/10 highly recommend going that route… especially if its COLD AF. You will wait, you will freeeeeeze… DONT DO IT! lol.

Ok you’re not here to stare at my endless supply of Paris pics… but I do want you to know, I am a Parisian… LOL I will definitely be coming back here but it was got to be warmer. There is no way I will do another winter there.

And the best part is that you’re still incredibly close to all the touristy stuff you actually came to Paris for.

So whether you’re looking for a sexy boutique hotel, something romantic, a budget-friendly option, or a place where you can stumble home from the bars without having to figure out the Paris Metro at 2 a.m., here are some of the best gay and gay-friendly hotels in Paris.

1. Hôtel Jules & Jim

Best for: Gay travelers, design lovers

If you want to stay somewhere that feels cool, intimate and very Parisian, Hôtel Jules & Jim is a great place to start.

This little boutique hotel is located in the Haut Marais and has a very modern design with exposed concrete, wood, glass and plenty of personality. It's also LGBTQ+-friendly and puts you right in one of the best neighborhoods for gay nightlife in the city.

And honestly, location is everything in Paris. You're close to Rue des Archives, Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie and a whole bunch of gay bars and restaurants, so you can spend the day sightseeing and then walk your ass over to the gayborhood at night.

Basically, cute hotel + great location + gay nightlife nearby = I'm listening.

2. Hôtel Sinner

Best for: Luxury, couples, sexy vibes
Where: Haut Marais

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Okay, this is not your grandma's Paris hotel.

Hôtel Sinner is dark, dramatic and sexy as hell. Think moody lighting, red doors, stained glass, dramatic hallways and interiors that feel more like a private club than a traditional hotel.

It's a five-star property in the Haut Marais, putting you within walking distance of the gay nightlife around Rue des Archives and Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie.

There's also a cocktail bar and a subterranean pool, because apparently having a regular hotel pool wasn't dramatic enough.

If you're coming to Paris for a romantic getaway, birthday, anniversary or just want to live your best bougie life, this is definitely one to consider.

3. Hôtel de la Bretonnerie

Best for: Gay nightlife, location, first-time visitors
Where: Le Marais

If your number-one priority is being close to the gay scene, look at Hôtel de la Bretonnerie.

The hotel is located on Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie, which is basically one of the main arteries of gay Paris. You'll find bars, restaurants, shops and nightlife practically outside your front door.

And I love that this isn't some massive chain hotel. It has that old-school Parisian boutique feel, which makes the whole experience feel a little more authentic.

The real selling point, though, is the location.

You're basically staying in the middle of gay Paris.

4. Hôtel Duo

Best for: Couples, design lovers, central location
Where: Le Marais

Hôtel Duo is another great option if you want to stay in the Marais without necessarily staying at a hotel that's specifically marketed toward gay travelers.

It's modern, stylish and right in the middle of one of my favorite neighborhoods in Paris. You're surrounded by restaurants, cafés, shopping and plenty of LGBTQ+ nightlife.

And that's really what I like about staying in the Marais. You don't have to choose between experiencing Paris and experiencing gay Paris.

You can literally do both.

5. Villa Beaumarchais

Best for: Couples, romance, quieter stays
Where: Le Marais

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Want to be close to the gay scene but don't necessarily want to hear the gay scene when you're trying to sleep? 😂

Villa Beaumarchais might be your move.

This four-star hotel is tucked away on a quieter street in the Marais, close to Place des Vosges and some of the neighborhood's museums, restaurants and cafés.

The hotel has a more classic Parisian feel, including a beautiful glass-roofed winter garden that gives the property a romantic vibe.

You're still close enough to walk to the gay bars, but when you get back to your hotel, things are a little more peaceful.

Sometimes you need the gay nightlife AND eight hours of sleep.

And when you're ready to experience the gay scene, you're still just a short walk away from the main LGBTQ+ nightlife.

1K Paris is one of those hotels that doesn't really feel like your typical Paris hotel.

The design has a strong Latin American influence, with colorful interiors, a restaurant and bar, and a much more modern personality than some of the traditional boutique hotels around the city.

It's also located in the Marais, so you're still close to the LGBTQ+ nightlife while being a little farther north in the neighborhood.

And honestly, if you're like me and get bored with cream walls, antique furniture and the same damn chandelier in every Paris hotel, you might appreciate the change of scenery.

If the hotel is going to be part of the experience, pay attention to this one.

Hôtel du Petit Moulin is a boutique hotel in the Haut Marais where basically every room has its own personality. The design is colorful, fashion-forward and definitely not boring.

This is the type of hotel where you're going to walk into your room and immediately think, "Oh, I'm taking pictures in here."

The location is also fantastic for exploring the Marais and getting around Paris.

It's definitely more of a splurge, but if you're coming to Paris for a special trip, this is exactly the type of hotel I'd consider.

Best for: History, romance, classic Paris
Where: Saint-Paul / Le Marais

If you want your hotel to feel like you actually landed in Paris, Hôtel de Joséphine BONAPARTE is worth a look.

It's located around Saint-Paul in the Marais, surrounded by historic architecture, restaurants, cafés and shopping.

You're also close enough to the LGBTQ+ nightlife that getting to the bars isn't a whole production.

I'd especially consider this one for a romantic trip. It's less "I'm here to party until sunrise" and more "let's drink wine and pretend we're characters in a French movie."

Sometimes you don't need a rooftop pool, a spa or a hotel lobby that smells like an $80 candle.

Sometimes you just need a cute hotel in a great neighborhood.

That's what Hôtel Caron de Beaumarchais gives you.

It's a smaller boutique hotel with plenty of old-school Parisian charm, and the location puts you right in the middle of the Marais.

So your day can basically be: wake up, grab a croissant, explore Paris, drink some wine, hit the gay bars, and stumble your ass back to the hotel.

Honestly, that's a pretty damn good Paris itinerary.

Where Should Gay Men Stay in Paris?

If you're asking me, Le Marais is the answer. HANDS DOWNNNNNN!

Paris is huge, and you can absolutely stay somewhere else and have an amazing trip. But if experiencing the gay scene is part of your Paris vacation, staying in or around the Marais makes things so much easier.

You're close to the city's biggest concentration of LGBTQ+ bars, clubs, restaurants and shops, but you're also within easy reach of major attractions like the Louvre, Notre-Dame, the Seine and the rest of central Paris.

And that's what I love about the Marais. You don't have to choose between tourist Paris and gay Paris. You get both.

A few other areas to consider:

Le Marais: Best overall for gay travelers and nightlife
Saint-Germain-des-Prés: Best for romance and upscale Paris
Montmartre: Best for a more artsy, neighborhood feel
Pigalle: Best for nightlife and something a little edgier
Latin Quarter: Best for budget-conscious travelers and younger vibes

One last tip: Paris hotel prices can swing a lot depending on the season, weekends and major events, so don't assume the price you see today will be the price you see six months from now. I recommend checking your dates before booking and comparing a few properties in the same neighborhood.

And if you're specifically coming to Paris for the gay nightlife, I'd spend the extra money on location rather than a fancy hotel room. You're going to be out exploring most of the day anyway.
