Day 1 in Mexico City 🇲🇽 | Exploring Roma Norte, Airbnb, Coffee & Street Tacos
OMG, we made it to Mexico City … Man, was I tired AF!
I’m currently dropping my Mexico City vlogs on my YouTube channel, if you’re not subscribed you most certainly MUST. I drop all sorts of videos there that are long and informative and can help you when you’re planning trips to Mexico, where I’m currently living.
Day 1 took me to:
The airbnb we rented, which you can book here. Please keep reading and I will show you more photos of the Airbnb, it was beautiful…
Before I got inside I checked out this BEAUTIFUL coffee shop and knew I was in the right place. Cafe Aro, location here. 10/10! The best part, there’s WINE, too. It was sooo cute I was like omg, I am coming back here. But I didn’t because — LOL, it’s Mexico City. Everything is cute AF.
The craziest thing about traveling on a 6am flight, is HUNGER. I was STARVING… I had to make it to tacos. But these tacos would be the death of me, they made me a bit sluggish the rest of the day. But hey, when in Mexico. The tacos were about a 7/10 — lower rating just because it was so heavy. But that was my own fault for telling them I wanted queso on it. My American ass. Mexicans do NOT eat cheese like that!!! LMAO.
Carnitas El Chulo — Mexico City Tacos — Location here.
After Tacos, its time to walk some of that off, before heading to get my haircut. Perfect place to get a walk in in Mexico City is the Parque México. Location is here. Now, this was a must-see/stop. I think I went there SEVERAL times during both of the times I’ve been to CDMX. 10/10.
Jacarandas in Mexico City — I was able to catch the tail end!
As you see, they are pretty done by the time I was there in mid-April. You’ll want to check them out! They are truly a sight to see if you’re into flowery trees and nature. They line every street, every neighborhood — bring the Afrin lol.
Next up, I had to get a fresh fade. You’ll want to watch the above YouTube video to get the full review of that, but here’s a picture of me right after the fade:
Barbershop for Black Men in Mexico City: La Única Barbería; location here.
Then, I just went to the mall — Reforma 222, is where you want to go if you’re looking for a Zara, a gay man’s Walmart. LMAO! They have the best selection in Mexico I swear. The clothes just hit different!
I was so tired after all that and bein’ up so late… I went to bed. Stay tuned for Day 2! :)
