Best Gay Clothing-Optional Hotels, Resorts & Campgrounds (U.S. + Worldwide)
I’m new to the whole LETS GET NAKED and run around outside thing… but I don’t hate it. A couple summers ago I had the distinct honor to go to The Woods Campground (which I’ll explain more about at the end of this post), and it was my first experience with outdoor nudity. And, it was a fun ass time. The thing that made it the most fun was that it was all gay men running around in different themed outfits each day we were there.
At the Woods Campground in summer of 2024, right before I moved to Mexico
We had a time! So when I think of nudity, I think of being free, I think of being able to express yourself in other ways. And, a lot of people love it. So I thought, let me draw up a list of some spots around the world where we can all be freely ourselves…and do it naked.
Clothing-optional travel is one of those things that sounds intimidating until you’re actually there… and then you’re like: “Oh. This is just… freedom. With sunscreen.”
Before we get into the list, two quick reminders:
Clothing-optional ≠ mandatory nudity. You can keep your shorts on if that’s your comfort level.
Nudity isn’t automatically sexual. Most properties are about relaxation + community first, and they have rules about respect and shared spaces.
