Where to Stay in Puerto Vallarta 2026–2027: Best Hotels for Every Vibe

Let's face it… we're already upon a new season in Puerto Vallarta, and it's about to be the best season EVER! But the one thing that can make or break your whole trip? Staying in the wrong hotel. So, as someone who actually lived in Puerto Vallarta and has traveled there extensively, I thought I'd put together a list based on VIBES… THE MOODS…. THE ENERGY.

Because whether you're a partier, a quiet person, or somewhere in the middle, you definitely want your hotel to match that energy when you stay there. You don't wanna end up at some lame spot when you're ready to party poolside all day, and you damn sure don't wanna land in the middle of pool-party chaos when all you wanted was some peace and quiet.

So with that being said, here are the vibes we're reviewing today… and setting you up for success!

  1. Party & Pool Scene Vibe — the Almar/Mantamar energy, foam parties and drag brunches

  2. Boutique Romantic / Gay-Owned Vibe — Casa Cupula, Tryst, the "nice hotel that happens to be gay-owned" crowd

  3. Clothing-Optional / Adults-Only Vibe — for the readers who came to let it all hang out, literally

  4. Budget & Social / Backpacker Vibe — Posada de Roger, Joint, meeting people without spending resort money

  5. Quiet Hillside / Digital Nomad Vibe — Amapas hillside spots, working remote without the pool noise

Want everything all in one place? I created a 50-page guide that tells you everything you need to know about Vallarta from the time you arrive in the airport — till check out! Get it below:
